A Higher Purpose

Why am I here?

Welcome to my mind and my journey via my musings. I feel it paramount at this time to be honest, with myself and with others; in my music, my lyrics, my thoughts, my feelings. If I expect respect and progress in my personal and business endeavors, I feel there is a but one course.

The fork in the road I stand before, we all ultimately stand before throughout our tenures of life, reveals two paths...

There is a safe enumerated path; a paved highway with speed limits and stop lights, comfortable hotels and familiar restaurants. This is easy street, relatively, and it is well lit and inviting. The signs remind us how to safely navigate within the confines of our gifted or purchased vehicles. If we stay in our lane and heed the cautions and billboards, we are rewarded with chronological destinations in calculated units of time.

There is also a less comfortable and less predictable path; a frontier into the unknown. This path has no paved roads, no familiar diet, no guaranteed lodging beneath flashing neon affirmations. There is no asphalt, no greased wheels on smooth terrain. t is a terrifying safari, one that keeps the senses keen. The mind must remain sharp, the body resilient. It is the path of the heart, of the individual soul, and I must now bear mine as I plunge into the wilderness my curious brain has long dreamt.

I shall now take this path.
